I’m very new when it comes to organics and veganics, in order to simplify things for myself and find an earth friendly way of doing things that works for me I have mixed up the subcool super soil recipe (with the addition of a quart of humus) stuff has been sitting in a trash can for about 8 weeks with a little water added to it so I’m sure its had time to break down and become available. I figured it would be best to start with the basics of soil building which is why I chose an organic soil recipe this time.

My question is about sustaining the soil food web without burning or over feeding the plants. For example how Kushman preaches the use of AACTeas and microbes.

How long does a strong soil mix like this that has been broken down and made available last before the soil would need to be replenished?

What are some of the tell signs of the plant when the soil is starting to become exhaust?

Are there currently any veganic substitutes for soil building to replace things such as bone meal and guanos?

Vin D. Microbe Tea’s are ok with super soil mix. The way super soil works is you hopefully use all the nutrients that are in your soil by the end of harvest. You could probably use the soil again but you would have to recharge it with nutrients. Your leafs will start to yellow and die when your soil is exhausted. Look into different alfalfa meals and granular seaweeds, look at the npk level and micro nutrient and vitamin levels of each one. Good Luck Grow Bro, let us know how you do.
