secret jardin tents are great, and you can link them together to make muti chambered grow rooms.

I think tents are a great grow option. Personally, I only use them for Mommas, keeping males in Vegetive stage, and cloning. BUT, I know lots of peeps who use them in garages and warehouses for full-on grows…:-)

Gotta second the Secret Jardin. I have a 4×4 tent and the clone chamber both are Secret Jardin. I’ve tried a few others before sticking with Secret Jardin due to awesome “lightproof” performance. The others leaked light out of the zippers and stitching. Lightproof is mandatory in my one bedroom complete grow. Outside of the lightproof performance it quality throughout.

I’ve used the Growlab by Homebox for several years without any complaints… http://www.homebox-growlab.net/

Hey guys, I had a question in regards to grow tents. I have a secret jardin DR60 (2×2) I use for starting seedlings and cuttings. I recently invested in one of those hydrofarm seedling mats that heat the rhizoshpere. I am about to start off some babies for the spring. Has anyone heard of any safety issues with the heat generated and if it would damage the mylar on the bottom of my tent? Any help would be greatly appeciated.

That’s a very valid question. I suppose it’s possible. So, just to be safe, set it on top of something. Maybe a towel, or a piece of wood…:-)

    Hey all!
Im new to growing and I’ve just started my first grow. I got a Secret Jardin DR60 as well. Right now Im running 150hps in it with a Durafilter charcoal filter attached to a 4 inch Sunleaves 200cfm inline fan all running on a timer. I was wondering how my setup sounds? Im not looking for big yields only quality. Im epileptic and would like to grow some of my Sour Tsunami for its high CBD content but I want to grow a couple plants before hand to learn the basics. Im living in Florida now so I dont know when Ill be to go to California again and acquire CBD seeds again. Ive got 2 seedlings sprouted in Happy Frog potting soil. Any and all suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Well, keep that 150 watt light very close. No more than 12″. That’s a small lamp and your plants will stretch terribly otherwise.
Draw your water well ahead of time, 24-48 hrs. This will allow time for chlorine to dissipate and the water to rise closer to ambient room temperature.
Let us know what type of food you plan to use and I’ll make some application suggestions.
The plant should be on a 24 hour light cycle for the first few weeks. then switch to 20 on, 4 off.
Keeping the room warm during the vegetive stage is good for plants. 80-85 degrees with no worries about dehumidifying.
    We’re here for ya noodle…:-)

I’ve moved my light down. It was about 16″ above them before that. I have been leaving my water out for 24 hours before feeding my plants. Would feeding my plants distilled water be hurtful? The grocery store near me is selling a gallon for .79 cents. I haven’t started any nutrients yet. How soon could I start feeding tea to them? I have a gallon of Humboldt’s Killer Tea on stand by. I would show you my setup but I cant figure out how to post the pics at the moment.

    Good job Noodle!!!

I think the Happy Frog will be good enough for a week or two then start using the tea at the lowest dosage. Can you tell me what the instructions say for application rates…keep posting…:-)

    Killer Tea (0.2-0.04-0.1)
Directions for cuttings: use 1tsp(5ml) of tea per gallon of water.
For vegetative/bloom: use about 1oz per gallon of water.

Thanks for the help so far Kyle. I’ll keep everyone posted and ill post some new pictures soon too.

Since the Killer Tea isn’t really a nutrient but a microbial inoculant, I suggest you start using it a full strength ASAP…:-)
