Would veganix or OG tea work on autoflower berry Ryder in hydroponic system running two 135 watt LEDs?
Also how often? Every day after first two weeks of growth? Would I also stop two weeks before harvest…

    Thanks

i would say depends on the hydro system, i would strain that stuff out quite well so it wont clog pumps or spray heads, unless your dwc then i dont see a problem. as far as feeding them i know its quite hard to burn plants with veganics and or over feed them but with most young plants dont start out full strength untill there more developed. i messed with some auto ak’s a few years back and the ones i kept feeding until the last 3 days of its life yielded more then the ones i flushed the last 2 weeks both plants tasted the same and burned with white ash. imo id ditch the autos and leds find a good mother and clone her.

i put 2 400watt hps in a 60 inch tall by 60 inch wide by 22 deep wardrobe closet.. i sectioned it off into two sides 60x30x22 and pull 8-11oz every run per side right now i got it locked in at 9 oz a run with 818 headband by cali connection and the other side is reserva privada skywalker og. i vent thru my sunleaves hoods 6 inch hydrofarm inline with a passive intake and never see anything above 80f. its not the size its how you use it. they didnt have those grow boxes back when i started.

btw what kind of temps do you see inside that thing? after looking it over it kind of sparks ideas in my head to build one and see if i couldnt expand my area while increasing stealth. only thing i can see needing fixing is ventilation and smell control. i think i would turn the top half into my 6inch fan with the carbon filter and have that vent out of the top back corner, cut a hole for the ducting to drop it into the bottom chamber hook that up to the sealed hood. passive intake through the floor it could work.

I would not recommend going to Hydroponics if your planning to grow with Veganics. Your Microbial Tea plays a major effect in your cultivation from beginning to end. The reason you have to bubble your microbes for minimal of 24 hours is to let the beneficial bacteria’s develop. After a while some beneficials begin to take over other beneficial bacteria. Hydroponics will not provide the correct environment for Beneficial Bacterial to survive in my opinion.

The Environment you provide (Co2, Humidity, Temperature) will also have a major effect in regards to your yield. That is why Your overall Goal to growing should be to grow a Healthy Plant from beginning to end and not focus in on just thinking about your Yield.

    Good info, thanks…
Has anyone tried green house co powder feeding (hybrid) for autos using hydroponics/DWC?
Thinking about trying Lucas formal… Any suggestions from the experienced hydro growers

    Thanks

Never tried their GHC’s powder. Lucas Formula works ok removing the Grow out of the solution. You can get great results using all 3 parts at 50% nutrient strength. Products are Synthetic and even General Hydro’s General Organic line which claims to be veganic is also 50% Synthetic.

Save your time, and efforts and just jump to Veganics!

so far I know with the bio-canna they recommend not using for hydro, unless you use a fatter gage feeding tube..then you would also have to rinse your tubes a lot more..sounds like it would be a lot of work..there are a cpl other veganic nutes..but not exactly sure of the names…maybe google veganic nutes..you could also ditch the hydro set up ..keep your res- and get a sub-pump and hand feed with a wand..less equip to clean.

the thing with veganic growing is its fermented plant material being used , along with beneficial bacteria, it works a lot like nature and creates the food soil web..so in theory veganic growing works best in soil, just like in the forest, all the plant material on the floor bed breaks down over time and enriches the soil for the plants/trees to feed off of…with veganics, you are creating a similar atomosphere inside…so you get the cleanest possible outcome for your plants..no salts or residues…keep an eye out for bravehart on here or try and find him or Kyle on mmj.com ..bravhart is using another veganic nute based out of Oregon..that might be more suitable for Hydro… I have seen the web site..but not quite sure of the name..maybe westcoast horticulture

also although not entirely veganic..GH- GO line is organic and veganic…and are suitable for hydroponic growing

    GREAT STUFF GUYS!!!
I do know people using OG-Tea and Veganic nutes in Flood and drain with Geolite/Hydroton. The root-soil foodweb is definately more elaborate in soil/soiless sytems, but nonetheless present and essential in all types of horticulture. I suggest using Canna Nutrients only until my Vegamatrix line is released…:-)

Hey Kyle, quick question. If you are using the complete bio canna line i.e.: bio terra plus, bio-vega,rhizo,Flores,Zyme & Boost, do you still recommend tea feedings along side their nutes. Since I started using the bio line I’ve stopped & I just want to know whether it make sense to or not. Thanks alot in advance and congrats on the site, great work!

It’s an absolute YES…the tea is what supercharges your soil. Making your nutrients more effective. That’s how I grow foot-long colas with N-P-K’s that top out at 5%.
Question back for you. Are you able to purchase Bio Terra Plus? If so, where?

Bio Canna Soil worked ok but for the price of it you can get two bags of Manna Mix by Vital Earth!

The questions moot since you haven’t been able to buy Cannas Bio Terra Plus soil for over 2 years now. Now they’ve also discontinued the Bio line of nutes. Thanks for coming out with a less than perfect product so I’d be encouraged to make my own…:-)

wonderin how long you have been workin on your nutrient program and how you now which direction to go with it- is it a lot of trial and air-side by sides or is it alot more in depth and scientific then that

    #26158

I think it’s mostly experience. After 20+ years of trying every nutrient and reading every label you start to understand the language. Then it’s a lot of trial and error. don’t think I’m whipping this stuff upin my bathtub. I’ve got a professional staff led by an organic chemist who’s my Leonardo DaVinci. Nobody’s every done this before. Taken a grow methodology new to indoor cultivators and made it simple. I don’t want you to have to buy a dozen different products.
So, that’s why it’s taken 2 years to get this far…:-)

Start using the micro supplement around the middle of the vegetive stage. Start at the lowest suggested dosage. Continue through to early-mid flowering before you increase the dosage…:-)
I’d appreciate it if you could post a link or address to where you buy Bio Terra Plus. THANKS

You’re lucky because the Bio Terra soil is the best I’ve ever used and it’s illegal to import it into the US due to sterility issues????

Mr. Kushman I have an answer for you about the Bio-Canna Terra Plus. I had scoured the internet for quite sometime after hearing about it on the actual bio-canna site. So I finally found a european website that actually hhas an option to ship to the USA. Other websites that listed the soil only delivered in the EU or to neighboring countries. I’ve not tried to place an order because it is fiscally unwise for my financial restraints as I believe they would like you to arrange a forklift to get it off trucks at the destination. Anyhow, I’ve just been making due with the Coco-not. Anyway, so the website is http://www.hg-hydroponics.co.uk , its under growing media and the soils subsection. Whether or not this is of any value to you I’m not sure. But it does seem like it would work.

I do have a question for you though. I’ve got the entire bio-canna line, excluding the new bio-rhizotonic. Bio-ag ful-humix, bio-genesis mineral matrix, technaflora’s thrive-alive b and soluble seaweed, from humboldt nutes: mayan microzyme, honey es, natural bloom, prozyme, myco madness soluble, and for the granular i went with the plant success. As I said, I am using the coco-not. This is my line-up that have been utilizing until your line comes out. Do you see anything in particular that I am not using that would otherwise benefit me? Also, I have grown nothing but Indicas and indica dominants in your veganic method. As of recently I have procured some Mr. Nice Nevilles Haze, any suggestions on feedings as I hear this strain, like most other Sativa dominant genotypes is finicky. I’ve only put my land races in the ground, but I want to try this strain in pure veganics. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your knowledge and insight, veganics is truly a class of it’s own.

    Thanks for your efforts ET87,
The only thing I can think of to add is some silica. Pro-Tekt works well. Using it throughout the Veg cycle will encourage heartier stems. Stop using in early flowering to coincide with the plants no longer growing stem mass.

As for Sativas, feed them full strength Veg formula for the first week or two of flowering. Then continue adding some veg to the flowering formula through mid-flowering. Now you’re feeding like a pro-athlete…:-)

    Greetings Kyle,

Thanks for sharing all the info that you do – I have learned a lot from you over the years and really appreciate it.
I noticed that manna mix is coco based and I have never grown in a coco based medium. I have read that it is best to water everyday and with runoff.
I know that you feed, feed, water and my question is do you water everyday with runoff or wait a couple days in between?

    Thanks,
    A

I water roughly every other day. And try to get a small amount of runoff each time…:-)
